Revenge by M StrattonI am not usually one for dark stories but Revenge by M. Stratton may make me change my mind and read more. I found the character of Nutter fascinating in warped way. Ms. Stratton does a wonderful job of creating not only one perfectly deranged psychopath, but two. She also shares with the reader enough of the backstory to remind the reader of the events that took place in the previous book, Bender.
The saying goes, “revenge is a dish best served cold,” and I defy the reader to not get a shiver or two while reading this book. Nutter is not only a cold, calculating killer; he has immense patience, waiting years to put his plan in motion. He doesn’t rush his revenge on Bender and Stormy, his princess, preferring to make them paranoid about when he will strike. While in the mental facility he met his soul mate in Kitten. She is not only his equal intellectually but also psychopathically. Waiting years to exact his revenge, Nutter and Kitten begin to systematically begin to exterminate those that did Nutter wrong. His ultimate prize would be his princess but Bender is determined to not let her be Nutter’s victim again.
This book is delightfully dark and twisted, and there are enough surprises to keep the reader guessing. The depth of plotting and scheming by Nutter is fascinating. The reader is drawn into the story, waiting for the other shoe to drop. The characters are well developed and the story is well paced. I look forward to the next book by this author; her imagination intrigues me.

Want to know what Nutter has been doing since the end of Bender?? Well, the wait is finally over. I wasn't prepared for the sick twisted story line & for that I love it! Who knew a kitten could be so dark & evil and quite possibly match Nutter's crazy. Is this finally the end to Stormy? Or will Bender still be able to save his girl? Quick, fast paced read & well worth it!

Revenge, is the follow up to Bender and it follows Nutter 10 years later. Revenge is just as crazy and gruesome and as amazeballs as the first.
It was so good to catch up with Bender, Stormy and the kids. And to see what being locked away did to Nutter.
Who knew that there was a female version of Nutter out there, Kitten is just as creepy and shudder inducing as him and together, they are bloody (literally) awesome. Once again, there are scenes that leave you saying "She wont go there...yep, she went there" but she writes them in a way that are entertaining and not just eewww (even though they are eww)
I really hope that Kitten gets her own book, I want to get into mind of her
What a manipulative, sneaky jerk. Nutter truly lives up to his name once again in Revenge, by M. Stratton. I can’t get over just how sick and twisted he is and how Stratton continues to create new and disgusting ways to show just how revolting he is. I would suggest psychological help, but obviously, Nutter has already taken that route.
Continuing the story started in Bender, Stratton shows the reader just what our favorite nut bag (pun intended) has been up to, and what he is planning next when it comes to Stormy, whom he sees as “the one who got away.” Literally. Nutter has been locked up in a mental hospital for the last few years and we pick up right where he is being released.
One thing that drives me crazy about a sequel or series is when there has been a bit of time passing between each book's release. I’m always worried that I will forget important parts of the story and not know what’s going on, resulting in my having to go back and re-read the previous book. Stratton does a great job of reminding the reader of what happened in the first book while not getting off track.
Revenge is very fast paced and while some things aren’t a huge surprise, there are plenty of things that are. The relationship between Nutter and his psychiatrist, Morgan. Morgan drives me a little bit crazy, which is ironic considering her occupation. For some reason, it drives me mad when someone calls someone his or her “lover.” I have no idea why, but she uses this phrase instead of a name and it makes me want to throat punch her. Their relationship vaguely reminds me of that of the Joker and Harley Quinn of the Batman Series.
Overall, this is a thrilling and exciting read. Stratton’s books never disappoint. Her books are all sick and disgusting in a good way. Each character is described in a way that makes them seem real, no matter how disturbing they are. I would recommend this book and series to anyone who likes a good psychological thriller and has a strong stomach.
For everyone who loved Bender by M. Stratton, this is a must read. Nutter and all his craziness is back with a vengeance, this time he has a partner who is even more sick and twisted.. I have read everything this author has written and was very surprised how dark she went with this story. Great follow up book to Bender, but can be read alone. Buy them both you won't be disappointed.
If you haven't read Bender, it's absolutely necessary prior to reading Revenge. Nobody does psycho like M. Stratton, I'm stuck between 'I'd love to pick her brain' and 'I don't even wanna know how she comes up with this'. While I LOVE M Stratton, and this story was utterly fascinating, I can't give it 5 stars. The editing wasn't up to par. It actually drive me nuts. If this is your first foray into Stratton's mind, please don't think this is the norm. Her books are normally polished and shine in a beautifully gruesome kind of way. It's definitely still a great grotesque story that's not for the faint of heart, Revenge seemed a bit rushed.
